If you want to know what’s in this thing and don’t want to pay $1,000 to find out, here’s a few bricks of text that describe its contents: I’d say it’s more than likely that someone buying this…probably has a better use for $27,000, and I know many people who have spent an enormous amount on in-game items or even things like Twitch donations to feel like a big shot when really, they’re in no position to commit that level of cash.īuuuut to each their own, I suppose. While I suppose the handful of people in the world who think that this package is worth the money are perfectly within their rights to buy it, I do think there’s this perception that anyone buying this package must be some kind of billionaire with cash to burn. As such, this feels at best, like a bad look, and at worst, flat-out exploitative. That said, many games could do this, yet few do, and almost none of them are in the same situation as Star Citizen, a game that has raised a ludicrous amount of money already and has fans waiting patiently for years for anything resembling a finished product.
